We also sell woodchips, that is wood chopped up into small, irregular pieces of various sizes (from 10 mm to a few centimetres). Woodchip is a by-product of wood cutting process. Woodchips are used in the furniture industry, in the production of particle boards, fibreboards and in the pulp and paper industry. Besides, they are utilised in horticulture as a way of protecting the ground against weeds and providing optimum oxygenation and adeguate water supply to the soil. Woodchips can be used as ground insulation materials as well as decorative elements.
With regard to environmental protection, woodchips can be also used as an ‘eco-friendly fuel’, however it is worth to notice that the energy quality depends primarily on the moisture content of raw material. As a rule, woodchips are optimal as a fuel for high-power boilers. Woodchips differ from pellet in that they can be derived from any kind of timber.
Our company specialises in the distribution of woodchips from coniferous trees, such as pine, fir and spruce.
